Japanese Flower Arrangement Demonstration, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Anna Nakada ‘59
Tuesday, November 14, 2017, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Please join your fellow alumnae at an ikebana or Japanese flower arrangement solo demonstration with Ikebana master Anna Nakada ‘59. This demonstration will take place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Asian Gallery, Second Floor. There is no charge to see the demonstration, but there is an admission fee to enter the museum. Anna was President of Ikebana International from 2001-2002. She has been a student of Ikebana from the time she was an expatriate in Tokyo from 1990-2001. Since coming home to Morristown, NJ in 2001, she has been teaching and demonstrating ikebana to organizations throughout the US – New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Washington DC and Florida – as well as Guatemala City and Montreal. Her other solo demonstrations at the Metropolitan Museum of Art were in 2015 and 2003. Show your Wellesley spirit, support other multi-talented alumnae, and learn how to make a beautiful flower arrangement for the holidays! Family and friends are welcome. Please RSVP to Ms. Won J. Hah ‘93, firstname.lastname@example.org, (917) 683-3921..
We hope to see you there!
